Since Madi and Jordan booked me for their August wedding while going to school out of state, the first time I got to meet them in person was the day of their engagement session. They were so open and warm that I knew right away I was going to love photographing them. And I did. Not only are they a ridiculously adorable couple, they easily let me guide them into just having fun in front of the camera which always results in the beautifully genuine kind of images that I love.
Madi and Jordan met in high school and have always felt something special was between them, but the timing wasnt quite right. Madi moved shortly after but still made a point to keep in touch with Jordan. A long awaited relationship was finally created when the two met up over Thanksgiving break three and a half years later and the spark that was always there became a flame. All during their engagement session, you could tell that flame was still very much there but mixed with a sense of humor and comfort that can only be found in people that truly trust each other. And by trust, I mean that when one of them tells the other during their session that they look like and armadillo, they are TRUSTING they aren't going to be punched in the face for it. :) A big thank you to them for being the kind of couple that I just LOVE working with and reaffirms that I have chosen the right path in life.
I also want to extend a super big thank you to Rob and Wendy, who yet again, let the random photographer they don't know (ME!) show up and shoot on their beautiful property. While Madi and Jordan could have rocked it no matter where I put them, the ability to use this property made my job extra awesome and I am extremely grateful for that. I cant wait to shoot Madi and Jordans wedding this august and also to be the one to capture one of the first weddings to take place at Mt Brighton! Keep a look out for that one to show up on the blog, but until then, let your peepers feast on the cutest armadillos known to man! Enjoy!
