a downtown ann arbor and west park engagement | Ann Arbor Wedding Photographer
They met while working at a movie theater in high school and almost 10 years after their first date, Brian and Rachel plan to be married. Being around them, you can tell that they've been together for a long time and truly know each other inside and out. Aside from having tons of things in common, like their love of books, movies, concerts, games, travel, and of course food, their personalities fit together in a unconventionally perfect way. Rachel says (and this is a direct quote) "I’m weird and annoying and bossy and yet he always knows exactly how to play off me to keep me in line... and when to just listen and do what I say." ---and this statement was hilariously illustrated throughout their session with me.
We started their session in downtown Ann Arbor. Even though I live a mile from downtown, I rarely end up shooting there, so the change of pace was refreshing and so much fun! We made our way to West Park to take advantage of the last of the apple blossoms, the beautiful greenery, and of course, Brains favorite thing ever- cat tails.
I had a great time getting to know these two and can't wait for their wedding at The Crofoot this winter! If the wedding is anything like Rachel and Brian, it will be fun, unique, and anything but boring!
